Ms. Mo Anne Shyne, M.A.,
LCMHC, has been practicing in the mental
health field for fifteen years and is a
licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor
specializing in child, adolescent, and
family therapy along with ADHD, Depression,
Anxiety disorders, women's issues: including
eating disorders, self-injurious behaviors;
grief and loss therapy and parenting
education to include discipline techniques,
parenting skills, behavior modification, and
supportive therapy.
Ms. Shyne also works closely with clients
and/or children who have been adopted or are
in foster care. She also is an advocate for
children and clients in the midst of the
divorce process, often working directly with
attorneys in the area, offering seminar on
education through divorce procedures and
with the new directives the courts have been
implementing regarding divorce/custody and
parenting time.
She has engaged in residential work,
psychiatric hospital care, case management
at a community mental health center,
director of a behavior management program at
the Woodbury Middle School and in a group
private practice setting offering mental
health counseling. She has her certificate
in Marital Mediation and Parent-Child
Mediation. She provides respite and
emergency foster care through DCYF and other
foster care organizations in NH. She is also
an instructor for Granite State College in
the FACES program which teaches modules for
prospective foster and adoptive parents.
Ms. Shyne is involved with several
organizations in the Salem area including,
but not limited to, Southern NH Coalition,
Greater Salem Leadership Program, Honduran
Mission Team, and Big Brother/Big Sisters.
Ms. Shyne attended Rivier College and
graduated with a Master of Arts degree in
Counseling Psychology. She has received
certification for emotionally and
behaviorally disordered students through the
Master of Education program at Rivier
College. Ms. Shyne conducts several seminars
a year on childhood mental health
illnesses/disorders within the school
systems, the mental health community and
many various church organizations.
She began working at Rivier College as
adjunct faculty professor teaching for the
Psychology department in the Fall of 2007.
